CEF is made up of people like you who care deeply about supporting the youth of our community.
We are an independent, community based, non-profit organization founded in 1991 (formerly known as Ed Net) to benefit the Claremont Unified School District.
CEF is a member of the California Consortium of Education Foundations. Our Board of Directors is composed of business and community leaders, parents, and school district staff, who together carry out the CEF mission. All members are volunteers.
What is the Mission of CEF?
To promote quality public education in Claremont through community involvement.
How does CEF raise money?
CEF sponsors fund raising events, solicits corporate donations, and receives donations from parents, businesses, and other community members who are friends of the Claremont public schools.
How is the money spent?
Since its founding, CEF has contributed to the Claremont Unified School District in a variety of important ways. In recent years, most of CEF's contributions have gone to support art programs. However, in the face of the 2003-04 budget crisis CEF expanded its efforts through the Save Our Schools (SOS) Campaign. |
