Monetary gifts made to the Claremont Educational Foundation go directly to enriching and sustaining quality public education for students attending the Claremont Unified School District. Past gifts have focused on providing art and music instruction at the elementary schools as well as assistance with transportation and technological projects at the middle school and high school. CEF works collaboratively with the school district to ensure that our gifts have a direct and lasting impact on the students that we serve.
With your help, the foundation was able to the provide $211,500 to the district for the 2011-2012 school year. These funds will be used to continue providing art and music instruction at the elementary level and fund a variety of technology projects. At El Roble and Claremont High School, the money will be used for technology enhancements.
Please note: We are receiving spending reports from the Principals on an ongoing basis, and will have all expenditures for recent funding reported by school site by November on this website.
For the 2010-2011 school year, CEF gifted $303,000 of which $200,000 went to restore 16 class sections for grades 7-12, and maintain the 37:1 student ratio, with an average of 34 students per class. In addition, $103,000 was divided amongst all schools to fund art, music, and technology.
