  • March 14th- Community Walk

If there was ever a time to rally together it is NOW!!  CUSD is facing a $7,000,000 cut from State over the next two years.  Come join us in a community walk to support our schools.
On March 14th, CEF will launch our $365 Campaign (A dollar a day) in a continued effort to raise funds to help alleviate some of the imminent issues brought on by the CUSD budget crisis. The goal of the campaign is to encourage families to donate a dollar per day as their commitment to our schools.  The kickoff is a "walk" from the individual school sites that will end at the Claremont High School track.

When: 1:00 PM Sunday, March 14th
Details: Each individual CUSD school will be a gathering place for families and community members.  Each group will march a specified route with the Claremont High School track as the final destination.  Those unable to march will be encouraged to come straight to CHS.

We will be accepting donations of $5 down to pledge participation in the campaign, with an agreement to pay $30 per month for twelve months, a total of $365 for the year.  Of course donors can donate the full $365, or they can donate monthly through a credit card.  Those donors will receive one "Our Choice" campaign T-shirt and a yard sign that includes the SOS bus logo.

  • Februrary 9th - State of the District Follow up Meeting

It was great to see all of you at Monday's "State of the District" meeting with the Superintendent. Now, the real work begins!

The follow up meeting will be led by CEF members as we discuss our campaign on how to help CUSD. CEF needs many diverse volunteers and friends- in the parent and wider Claremont community.

While there will be time for brainstorming (We need your ideas) Our goal is to set up volunteer lists/groups and action plans for how you can help, so bring a friend (or three) and let's do this.
